Poor thing.
I know he has been a terrible person, but when people get that old and out of it you just can't hold things against them, because they don't know what they are doing anymore. They can no longer be held responsible for what they did when they were still young and able.
All old people deserve proper care in their last days. They will meet their maker soon, and then He will do with their soul what He deems best.
