Why are there out-of state commenters following my local news?

I commented on one of my local news pages on Facebook, and of course, my comment went against the mainstream narrative. I had 2 different people viciously attack me and obviously checked out my profile. So I checked them out and both profiles show they are from out of state, have no pictures of themselves, and I don’t see anything that connect them to Oregon at all. I’ve seen this many times with other arguments I’ve seen on Facebook. Who are these gross faceless people?
