Is this due to the flooding? Yes, reports are still coming in, but the highways north and east of vancouver are essentially swiss cheese. They don't even know the extent of the damage yet. They are saying 3 months or so. But really winter is here, good luck pouring concrete and building bridges in deep northern winter to repair highways right? Rail is also knocked out. So how exactly do goods flow from Port of Vancouver to western canada? They don't basically. Embrace the cognitive dissonance. |
