I signed up for the US Army in November of 1990 during the build-up to Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield.



I graduated AIT as a Vulcan crewman the very week of the "100 hour" war, the first invasion of Iraq which was ended quickly when George H.W. Bush decided not to try to take Baghdad at the time.


The previous seven classes of my AIT went to the Gulf.


Just wasn't my destiny though, I guess.

I often wonder how my life might have been different, but I don't wish it had been.



Maybe I would have never met my wife and had my daughter.

All things had to be.

All things must be.

And here we are at PAGE 2022.


July 4, 2022.

Having a second cup and a smoke and thinking about life.

So now we're leaving history behind and soon we will be jetting off to the future.



It's not that bright, I don't think.


You won't need shades.
