My confidence in the military's ability or desire to protect us has deflated hugely. Whether this was deliberate or pure ignorance, the "balloon" should have never been allowed to gather information over the US.

Our military has no true leadership and neither does our country. I pray to God we aren't about to enter all out war, because I believe the good citizens of the US will be left to fend for themselves. Good thing we have more arms than any army in the world, we may have to use them to defend ourselves and protect our families.

I can't believe what this nation has come to despite the number of people who truly love what our country once was.

The ship of state is truly adrift.

Unfortunately, believing the inability to protect us is deliberate has come to mind more than once.

I don’t know I believe that. Trump truly does not like China the only way that could have happened is if a certain general decided not to inform him, then again that same general did make phone calls to China to help them keep tabs on what trump was doing.
