After de-boning the carcass I combine all the less-than-desirable trimmings, left-over gravy and chopped veggies with cooked rice, then form into patties and freeze for doggie food. Muffin trays work well, too.
I'm sure someone will say it is unhealthy but I've been doing this for years and my dogs have survived. Anyway, they've been known to dine on worse things.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80974397 Yes anytime I make a whole chicken I make broth out of the carcass and scavenge the bits and pieces with leftover veg and do this. I put it in ice cube trays. The broth I use for us humans but I've been known to give it to them too if I can't get to freezing or canning it. They love it. I also give them raw meat when I trim. Vet said it's good for them as long as I'm fairly sure of the quality and freshness of my raw meat. My animals have never gotten sick and I've had a lab last for 22 years!
