This sucks, it is stupid, and that's why you knew you would have to threaten someone to do it and are glad it wasn't you. Your morality doesn't go any further than that and it never did. Its not about working a job,its about doing Gods will while you are here on earth. When it says night is coming it is referring to the day of judgement, when a man has run out of time to do Gods will, and no work or acts will change his fate.
