Actually, I made no claims about the defendants and their actions. I just wish people would be honest about the circumstances. The jury has spoken, and I accept that. But contrary to the media portrayals (complete with high school/tuxedo wearing photos), he wasn’t just innocently jogging one day and this happened. He was seen in the neighborhood doing suspicious things, and this wasn’t just some poured foundation he was in, it was a house being renovated. He had no business being there, and they were right to question his presence. Calling the police would have the correct course of action, obviously. But I am sick of dishonest portrays of what is obvious.

They should have killed him in the act of breaking INTO one of their homes when they were in it if that's what he was doing. In some states it is legal to kill someone if they are robbing your property, with said property, and still on the property. You can't chase random people because you "assume" something and kill people.

Even if they were cops, which they were not, being a police officer doesn't give you the right to commit a felony assault with a deadly weapon, which pointing a gun at someone is. You have to have the right of deadly force in self defense to point a gun at another.

I'm glad he's dead. I also hope they get to admit all evidence- lot here to appeal, so hopefully it's not over.
Even if this is the end, I bet people aren't robbing construction sites in that neighborhood anymore = worth the time.
