The legal definition of trespassing is not the dictionary version. "Trespassing" means to do wrong to another in the mots basic sense of the word. There has to be some intent to do wrong or you have to be warned off. What you poeple are saying is it's ok to shoot a kid selling cookies if he knocks on your door, you're fucking dangerously insane.
