They’re in excellent shape and uncirculated. I’ve been hearing gold is about to drop big time. Should I sell them now before the gold bubble bursts? I don’t follow this stuff, but I know a lot of you have wisdom with regards to the market. Thanks I’m advance. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81233164 Keep! Hold on with diamond hands and keep accumulating The Fed is a paper tiger and the WH has a poopy pants commie installed. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80144757 United States 11/24/2021 05:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Highest prices in history, but you’re right..bubble isn’t the right word because technically money is becoming worthless, and the price of gold isn’t reflective of that. So far it's topped at $1954 and change this year but adjusted for inflation Gold had its best year in recent history in 2011 @ $1896.50 A $58 'increase' in ten years is a distinct loss considering what's happened to the USD. |

AFTER that plunge, the "moon" shot will happen. THAT is when i would sell. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80474317 United States 11/24/2021 05:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My play : Invest in farm or timber land. In our area, there is very little property tax on either. Now ,find a piece of ground that the owner will carry the note. You need a 10-20 % down . I would sell the gold for the down payment. If you can't swing the payments I would hold the gold. Gold might drop but it will come back.No investment just goes up. You're welcome. |

User ID: 59490123 United States 11/24/2021 06:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you would sell physical gold for paper ??? 40K will buy a lot of toilet paper ... but if you are out of food, you won't be needing much after you shit yourself, when you see how gold sky-rockets when the Market crashes general rule of thumb ... a year's supply of food, water, fuel - an alternate power source, $10K in "junk silver" coins - $10K in gold to get you through a National crisis (assuming you already own a home in a rural area) and a reliable vehicle. |

Just wanna say that right off. Second, know going into it that it's hard to sell physical gold. They charge huge premiums for it, and they lowball you when you go to sell it. So if you're expecting to get spot price, or anywhere near it, proly not gonna happen. As for whether gold is going down or not, that's anyone's guess. If the market corrects gold in the short term, historically speaking, would be expected to correct with it. That said, gold prices usually correct less and recover faster, so there's a certain logic in the argument that it's something to hodl. Were it mine, and I didn't have anything better to do with the money, I would keep it. If I had GLD, or maybe even mining stocks, I would probably sell those and either buy physical or bonds or something. I think regardless of anything market wise, there's a certain logic to having physical gold and silver on hand just in case, along with cash. Like a SHTF fund (in the context of which, lead is also a precious metal lol). okie |
