I've been to multiple grocery stores and everything is in stock. My local store is selling their turkeys at .49lb for their holiday sale.

Yeah there are some processed foods that are low stock or no stock but the vast majority is in. Fresh fruits and vegetables are all in stock as well.

So who is stoking the fears of shortages and why? Again, yes there are processed foods low in stock but who cares about processed foods.
