The mexicans I work with refused to believe in its powers, so I've told them all to make it... just try it... Now 2 thanksgivings later... They are addicted! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79554282 I like mine par-boil quickly, then lightly sautéed in a touch of butter and pinch of dried ranch seasoning - just to get a sear, THEN top with the French's onions before serving. MMMMWAAAHHH! PERFECT. Saute the green beans with mushrooms, butter and garlic. Then a half can of cream of chicken with herbs and a teaspoon of Better Than Boullion Chicken, a splash of half and half. Something crunchy on top. Homemade fried onions if you can pull it off. Just fry up some onion, dip them in flour first. Daughter said trick to onions is superchill first in icewater bath.that keeps the breading on better.otherwise the onion steams off the breading. If i do it,ill fry onions without breading.then chop them up and top casserole with them. Yep pork is the kick on green beans! |

It's nice when they place all the Thanksgiving stuff in it's own little section at the grocery store. But alas, I don't make this. Too much of the other foods to fill up on. There's just no room. |
