I thought washing a Turkey ( with this advice ) were more for introducing water bourne bacteria and not contaminating surfaces but although Iv not much Turkey experience. Maybe you could wash with bottled water. Then transfer to a clean towel. Then refridgerate unwrapped ( with salt rub )
