I came. I saw. I Concorde.

Re: Anyone on glp into antiques
Handbags are mostly valued by make, and if its genuine leather. Needs a mark. Also cant be too worn.

Smaller boutique, and cigarette bags if sequined, can be moderately valuable.

My expertise was mens suits. I would go to estate sales, and other auctions and retailor older style mens suits into todays fashions...alot of money if you can find a tailor to do the work at a good price.

Otherwise, my favorite was fashion jewelry and trophies...

the jewelry Id often tear apart for precious metals, but refashion the gems into unique pieces for resale. Trophies, and medals, often times if old are sterling silver, with gold. So would melt down to bars and resell for quit e a bit of profit.

Now that Im older, its alot of work to do these things, but there is certainly money to be made if you can frequent "true" estate sales (where all the good stuff hasn't been taken already).

Ive bought more than a couple "all box" jewelry sets where I get some solid gold, or actual rare piece that nobody noticed. And then can also have a jeweler turn a necklace or braoch into eachother, and make some cash.

I live in an "old" town, sos when ever I see an estate sale, or garage sale for that matter, I stop and look.

I collect antique Victorian baby shoes, among other things. Been doing it for years. Also collect specific children's kitchen toys from the early 1900's. Enjoy going to flea markets & antique stores.

Antique electrical devices such as radios and a weird offshoot of that, vibrating solutions for women with headaches. I loved the reasoning behind those early products.
