Weekly jobless claims post stunning decline to 199,000, the lowest level since 1969
so maybe we've turned the corner and the Biden economy is ready to boom.

The ranks of those submitting jobless claims tumbled to their lowest level in more than 52 years last week, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.

New filings totaled 199,000, a number not seen since Nov. 15, 1969, when claims totaled 197,000. The report easily beat Dow Jones estimates of 260,000 and was well below the previous week’s 270,000.

Along with the drop in weekly claims, continuing claims, which run a week behind, fell by 60,000 to 2.05 million, a fresh pandemic-era low and a strong sign that the labor market is getting notably tighter.

This can also be a symptom of such a low participation number, numbers so low they haven’t been seen since the early 60’s before the two worker family became the norm.

I would add 5 people to UI if I could find 3 to replace them.

The Left spin this as good! LOL

There are many reasons why theses numbers are what they are and none of them are good.
Full employment in a growing, healthy economy would be great, this is not the case.

When a person's unemployment runs out they drop from the government's official rolls and are then considered to be employed .Eventually when all the people that have lost their jobs to the vaccination mandate find work again the Biden administration will claim them as new jobs created to rally walstreet . They have been doing this for years .

That and if your ue benefits have ended for longer than (6 months i think) You are no longer counted and they "assume you're working". It's how they manipulate the numbers to make people believe they created jobs.
