The goal is to throw away Oil Reserves, close all pipelines, and block all ships with oil. Then we are at Bidens mercy!

I guess this could be a push to force us into electric cars by making gas-powered cars prohibitively expensive, or it could have nothing to do with that and this could be a plan to imminently destroy the country and drive us all into poverty. Honestly, I could see either being on the table for TPTB.

I know everyone is getting bent out of shape over this but no matter how much is released directly to the US, it will have if more impact on the price of fuel than if NONE of it were released here.

Oil and gas are global commodities. If this is their strategy, to use SPR, all they do is offer it as supply on the global market as additional supply and sell to who ever wants it. Increasing supply by 1mil barrels a day to try and add supply while additional supply comes online is a good idea. Adding it to the global supply will help everyone. Only selling to US buyers doesn't make any sense.

I hate this geriatric piece of dog shit has much as all of you but this isn't a terrible idea. OPEC has committed to increasing supply next year, if injecting 1 to 1.5mil barrels a day to global supply gets the ball rolling on prices starting to fall while we wait for OPEC. I'm all for it.

Now OPEC is a cartel that hates America, that's another story entirely but even they know if they strangle us too much it is counterproductive in terms of our economical contraction and lower demand.

And they know $3.50 at the pump is counterproductive.

Hmmm.

The strategic oil reserves are meant to keep our military supplied with jet fuel, diesel and gasoline in the event of a serious war breaking out, where crude oil carriers are being sunk by torpedoes.

They are not large enough, nor were they meant to be, to influence the global price of oil.

We could be days away from a real war with CHina, and selling fuel to them in this environment is treason in my book.

China is close to imploding like the USSR did under Reagan.
