Re: Tesla Enters Home Heating Market
Should be seeing this a lot more in the future.

One thing I have not seen mentioned yet is the threat from Squirrels (and rodents I suppose).

This time of year, squirrels are like little ninjas, chewing up wiring, etc. They also like the taste of the plasticizer in the wiring insulation.

Also, they are looking for places to build nests.
Cars are a great spot for rodent nests.

I bet super genius Musk didn't factor in squirrels and mice into his designs. They are the unstoppable ninjas of the animal world.

Just takes one bite on a Tesla battery or connecting wire and you will get instant exploding inferno.

And they get really active in the fall. Enjoy the show.

I don't think they are supposed to use water to fight a lithium fire.

I did not think you would put out an electrical fire with water, but this is actually a fire caused by burning lithium metal. And it is recommended that you just use a lot of water to cool down the metal. I learned something today.

Whenever there's a push to talk smack about electric vehicles, one has to wonder how much of the multiple trillions of dollars industry was involved in pushing that propaganda in order to protect their business, instead of allowing humanity to move forward.

Not to mention if the car is still plugged in you potentially have 240v to deal with.

Lithium is still a limited resource and of course the mining process is quite impactful.
Love how they seem like they're so innovative when people have invented cars that run on H2O.

I will never get into a "connected" vehicle.
I rode in my buddys Tesla once. He put it on auto drive and the damn thing swerved and almost ran us full speed into a wall. Nope and nope.

I still have the theory that all Tesla auto drives are secretly ran by a call center in the Philippines.

Gasoline engine fires do happen, but the size of the blaze is magnitudes smaller, and far easier to extinguish.

EV/Tesla fires are super common -considering their tiny market share- and the massive chemical fires reqire 30,000 - 100,000 gallons of water to extinguish.
