December 2021 managed to locate one seller at £76 most wanted over £80 for same Yuasa 7027 battery.

Stanchion tubes for Yamaha FJR a year ago £200 for a pair, now £240.

Prices of both are being artificially suppressed. And they will technically not be of value in a massive-scale shtf, societal collapse scenario for awhile. People can't eat or drink precious metals so actual goods will hold more value until goods become readily available again and infrastructure is somewhat restored.

A bottle of brand you've never heard of, not even the store brand naproxen sodium was $7 for 40 pills. That seems pretty high. Last time I got some at the dollar store it was 10 pills for a dollar, so 40 pills for $7 is definitely higher.

Mine too. Unfortunately as property becomes more valuable, the more they raise the taxes.

I no longer pay them in full. I pay some reasonable amount on them every month to keep them from going into foreclosure which will result in an amount we can't pay, which is what they really want.

Same with the power co. Every winter I get them to give me an installment plan and pay on it monthly. Then in the spring and summer, when we need way less, I keep making the payments and then start over in the winter.

Alcohol and drugs eat up a lot of money, we don't have that expense at all. If you feel you need it, try budgeting. People can make their own if they really want to.

People need to learn how to cook. For supper we made pasta with beef strips, (organic) 7 dollars, onion, garlic, tomato soup, for two, about 10 dollars. Oranges, cocoa, coffee as needed.
I really think this mess is going to go on for about 4 more years at least, but all we have to do is persevere until the end, whatever that is.

I continue stashing up on Kick Ass Beans and have a few hand grinders and a few french presses and 3 teapots just in case things go beyond south. Having money resources and stores and extra "security" does not mean SHIT when it goes totally bad. Have something to trade and appease. Stock up on cheap assed Vodka too. Might make brave men of cowards but they'll be so fucking drunk they won't shoot straight and make easy pickings for pick up weapons at the very least.

A really, really good and cheaper alternative is to stock up on Bic Lighters, batteries on sale, and cheap flashlights.

I've been needing to do a few things on my vehicle. Not only are parts extremely scarce but they have doubled and even in some cases TRIPLED in cost!

That one hit me in the gut.

I just need shocks, struts and a new windshield.

Struts are either unavailable and listed at rather standard prices or doubled in cost.

Windshield has tripled from 170 to over 400 bucks.

When I'm done there I'll just need some minor things and she's winter ready.

The nearest junkyard closed up a year ago so I travel far to one and they usually don't have my vehicle there. I've been lucky for most parts but lately no dice.

Food has obviously gone way up too. Everyone I spoke with spent quite a lot this year for Thanksgiving.
