Years ago I ran my own Holistic Healing Practice. Insurance for years no problem. Then BAMM! No more unless you pay $400-500 a month! It was basically You have to pay what a doctor pays. Obviously I had to close my practice I could not afford that kind of insurance, some people I was helping for free, others $40 for an 1 1/2 hour appointment.

I will add: our insurance for our Farm, we were told several things, as it has become very strict.

No one allowed to cut your hay, or operate equipment on your land,
No one allowed to snowmobile on your land.
Nothing bigger than a chicken
No beehives allowed
All these things you would need extra Liability insurance, Our agent made clear, that Farmers have a way of making money under the table and injuries can happen. There was a list of things I cant remember them all. I am certain you not allowed anyone to hunt on your land either due to accident/injury.

We are allowed to sell at our farm gate, but not in the driveway, house etc.

Our agent also told us 2 years ago that in insurance companies meetings down the road, You will only be able to drive your vehicle, not anyone else, or the policy will be void in an accident etc. So at some point your friend cannot drive you home in your car if you have been drinking.

That would be illegal in most states OP. Most require such policy’s to be paid a month in advance (which it likely is and covering you past the due date for such errors). Plus they have a timeframe to notify you of the cancellation before the cancellation (usually only legally valid if sent via certified mail).

Again the car thing at the end depends on the state, most states require the car to have insurance regardless of the driver. If that wasn’t the case 3/4 accident lawsuits would be putting the one at fault on the street.
