I thought that prosecutor Fluffer said he was charging Dominick Black with something straw related relating to that rifle? Wouldn't the rifle still be held by authorities pending the outcome of that trial, and be forfeited upon conviction in that case? Anonymous Coward User ID: 80942812 Canada 12/02/2021 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.nbcnews.com (secure)] Quoting: Don Draper from Nantucket Kyle Rittenhouse said he will destroy the AR-15-style weapon he used in the fatal shooting of two people last year at a racial injustice protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In an appearance on the conservative podcast “The Charlie Kirk Show,” Rittenhouse said Tuesday that the gun was being "destroyed right now.” “We don’t want anything to do with that,” he said. Rittenhouse, 18, was acquitted of five felony charges related to his actions on Aug. 25, 2020, during a protest over the shooting of a Black man, Jacob Blake, by a white Kenosha police officer. Rittenhouse was charged with reckless homicide in the slaying of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and intentional homicide in the death of Anthony Huber, 26. He also faced a charge of attempted intentional homicide for severely wounding Gaige Grosskreutz, 27, a paramedic from suburban Milwaukee, who was volunteering his medical services, as well as two counts of recklessly endangering safety. Photos of Rittenhouse holding the AR-15-style weapon at the Kenosha protest were widely circulated. He claimed that he was trying to protect property during the unrest and that he fired the weapon in self-defense. does the article not suggest he was found not guilty? |

I thought that prosecutor Fluffer said he was charging Dominick Black with something straw related relating to that rifle? Wouldn't the rifle still be held by authorities pending the outcome of that trial, and be forfeited upon conviction in that case? That charge might be dismissed. Kyle was allowed to possess and carry the rifle, but not purchase it. The friend who bought the rifle that Kyle Rittenhouse used to fatally shoot two men and wound another would like charges against him thrown out. But just when it seemed a controversial ruling from Rittenhouse's trial last week might clear Rittenhouse's friend, that case was again delayed on Monday. Dominick Black, 20, of Kenosha, was charged last fall with two counts of providing a firearm to a minor, resulting in death. He bought an AR-15-style rifle for Rittenhouse in May 2020, when Rittenhouse was too young to legally purchase a gun. From the very start of the case his lawyers had argued that an exception in the law allows 16 and 17-year-olds to carry rifles and shotguns. Back in May, Black tried to get his own charges dismissed, in part on the same argument, that if Rittenhouse could legally possess the rifle, it was no crime for Black to provide it to him.
