Adding my prayer for health and strength, comfort and peace for Mo and also for you OP. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, have mercy on our brother Mo.

I prayed for you, your stepfather and your family.

Don’t be hard on yourself. I know how it feels to watch someone whom you love dearly suffer and struggle. But none of this is your fault. You can’t let guilt join in to weigh you down in these moments of grief and pain. We are all sinners- every one of us who lives, it is an intrinsic aspect of the human condition. We have all sinned. Love yourself, the way your stepfather has loved you. Love yourself the way that you will feel love towards your children one day.

You wouldn’t throw away a diamond because of some inclusions that are visible under magnification, right? Because it is still valuable, even within its’ own imperfection. You would simply take note of said inclusions, pull the magnifier away and enjoy looking at the whole in all its’ brilliant beauty. Good people are the same way. Imperfect when you look closely. So don’t put yourself under a magnifier at a time like this or focus on beating yourself up over imperfections. Externalize your perspective, look at yourself as a whole and see the value in who you are as a human. We all have a reason that we developed into who we are. We are all the products of our formative influences and developmental environments. Everything has a reason.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know you are aware of Mo's heart and thyroid illnesses and pray you will heal him completely and wrap your arms around him in goodness and Light.

We pray that Morris is surrounded by caring and kind Health Professionals who have only his best interests at Heart.
We pray that Morris is kept free from pain and suffering on his journey of Life.
We pray that Morris has the time to say everything he needs to say to those he loves.
We pray for Morris' family that they find comfort and peace and know that this is part of Morris's journey.
We pray that the arms of Angels enfold Morris and that when his time comes to be with God it is a peaceful transition.

I am a step-dad too.

It can be a difficult and thankless job at times.

I send my best wishes, prayers and hopes for a full recovery.

Done! I said a prayer for him and will keep him in my prayers. I hope you’ll get to spend time with him and tell him how important he is in your life and what a good person you think he is. Give him all the hugs and talk with him. My mom just passed and I will miss her forever- tell him how important he is to you and how he’s impacted your life. Wish you all well.
