i did the free subscription to paramount to watch the post covid episode

was somewhat funny until they started with the "if you just would've been vaccinated this could've ended decades ago" propaganda.

I'm not sure you noticed but they were making fun of that whole thing, and it turned out the reason it hadn't ended was nothing at all to do with vaccines.. so..

It's the future and it's how we do it now.

Also note that it's not "delta plus", it's "delta plus rewards program", making a joke about the delta airline (comparing delta to a pandemic in terms of quality)

yeah maybe, but i thought it could've went either way. i think it leaned more towards blaming the few unvaxxed for all the worlds continued covid issues but maybe i didn't pay enough attention towards the end

If something they do offends you - its a good indication you should understand why.. not to agree with them - but to think about it - which is the actual purpose of them offending you.


In this case however...

While making their shellfish joke it is quite obvious that the people who are demanding it are dong it for selfish reasons and are willing to lie.
They often simply run with a premise and take it to the absurd conclusion.

They make that claim that they equally offend...care to tally the trump trashing vs. the Obama trashing?

It would be very lopsided....alot vs. zero

They lean liberal...sometimes heavily no matter what they claim. They will cherry pick a few liberal things, but it is in no way equal.

Apparently you got so offended to someone bashing your preferred team that you didn't pay attention to anything else.

Of course Trump was bashed more.. They made Garrison a stand in for the man. Obama was too boring and unfunny to even get that opportunity. Trump was a gold mine of material .. plus those on the right often have a better sense of humor about such things.. though apparently not everyone.

When it comes to political personalities I don't think Matt and Trey have a lot of respect for anyone -- portraying elections as choices between Shit Sandwiches and Douchebags.

However forget about "red team" and "blue team" personality crap and pay attention to the events.. especially in earlier years, the show is very anti-left. Do you think the "museum of tolerance" is pro PC episode? Heck, do you think PC principle and the PC babies exist as a role model or as a joke of such politics? The South Park Flag? Sexual Harassment Panda? They routinely lift the polices of the left on their own petards.

Its fine if you don't like it. Its just a show. You should really just relax. I don't agree with every position they take, but I find humor in what I can, and shrug when something falls flat on me. Especially lately. Its been going on almost as long as the Simpsons. You just run out of material.. and I am sure they have all sorts of politics going on behind the scenes all of the time ( Remember the Bin Laden episode?) You know they are subject to censorship - and they pick which battles to fight. Were there Obama jokes left on the floor for such reasons? Maybe. Maybe not.

They were even pushing to get it cancelled - I think they are sick of it.. and then some morons come along and say - we will give you $900 Million for 14 90 minute episodes.

If I offered you that sum, and you can turn out just about any crap you like..would you not take it? They create episodes in 6 days - and they cost around $350,000 per 30 minute episode. So they bank about 885 Million of that contract.

Besides they just saved Casa Bonita. No better way to get on my good side than that.

Dude, no need to make excuses for them, I'm just calling it like I see it. I like the show and want them to be even handed...or sort of close, but they are not. They have progressively gotten more political and more liberal leaning over the years. It never used to be that way.
