Jesus is quoted in the bible as directly saying heaven is something inside of you, not something to be found "out there".  I have heard this quote too. But others have seen it and the descriptions line up. Personally, I believe it is there :) The phrase "kingdom of heaven" 32 times (ALL in Matthew) [ link to www.blueletterbible.org (secure)]
