Is $20/hr the NEW (unofficial) Minimum Wage?

It is called automation, and it started decades ago. I installed technology at the company factories. Where it used to take 8 to 9 people to tend the machinery, now it only takes 2. Anywhere the wages get high enough, automation will be brought into place. The only real question is, what happens to the low skilled / low motivation workers?

or option B, the fast food restaurant will just go close their doors (like I am seeing everywhere)... Soon we will be like the movie Demolition Man, where Taco Bells were the only restaurants open the USA... Yeah, it's going to get that bad, if they don't get inflation under control.... Wages are far outstripping the value of labor (sorry, but a burger flipper does not deserve the same wages as an Engineer) and the costs for goods are going through the roof (soon those over-inflated wages won;t even buy a loaf of bread)... Thus the common person will be poor a dirt once again, while the fed gov't will make out like a bandit (with higher tax revenues they earn from all the hyper-inflated prices on goods)... This is simple economics Folks!! This is what happens in all countries (especially communist)

That market will be inflated and the cucks will be to broke to pay for of subscriptions.

No, your value to society is the wage you earn...The only way to make money is by helping other people, the very least you can do is selfishly work the minimum and complain about not getting paid more...Again, the only way to make money is by helping someone else...

Learn something valuable that will help more people or help them more than asking if they want fries with that...

I have all the money I will ever need and I don't need $35/hr...I have no bills or debt, so how much does one really need? Your selfishness determines your monthly payments, not inflation...

Its someone elses place to decide because they have the money you want. At a certain point its just not worth it to pay you to help me. Ill just do it myself and keep all the money.

In the bigger industrial cities that are doing OK STARTING wages for one with NO EXPERIENCE (ie: fast food type jobs) are getting darn close to $20/hr, some with a nice signing bonus too. Not so much in the more rural areas an hour out of the cities where Skilled jobs with experience are still down in the mid to upper teens.

Shoot here Walmart is paying $22 to start in their warehouse - Krogers is in the mid 20's to START, plus full benefits (no experience required), with guaranteed increases after 6 months for their warehouse jobs.

awww, brief isn't so bad. Actually pretty much on point most of the time. But I've been here for a long time. Sometimes he can be somewhat of an asshole but he probably just as I did that being a nice guy doesn't do shit for you.

I used to be in that victim complex too but eventually you grow up and take what you want by any means necessary. End of the day he is doing well while the people bitching about him usually aren't.

I can answer my own phone and clean my own toilets...What I really needed when I was working, were skilled and dependable employees...

With hyperinflation, 200 an hour is going to be poverty level soon.

We bought our house 11 years ago for $150,000. That was a normal price for a normal new home back then in Texas. Now we are looking to get out of the city and we expect to be able to sell our house for $300-$330,000.

Even the house we are now having built, we saw the paper work from 1 year ago and it was set at $320,000. And now it’s priced at $380,000. And it’s still priced competitively for the area.

Its actually more. That's what inflation does.

up by stillwater minnesota walmart starting 19.50 hour warehouse ... but rent all around there is 1200 and up starting at studio apt
