Just remove the interior trim, disconnect the "OffStar" antenna and the system can't communicate with the remote server. Easier yet, or for a Pre-2000 vehicle before goober mint mandated all vehicle sold in US be equipped with tattle -tale. Or even better yet (though you may have a little more maintenance), pick a pre-74. Points and plugs, no critical elections, AND no computers. In case of an EMP, you just replace a couple of $5 parts, instead of the whole car going down forever. |
