More tightly regulated stablecoins have grown immensely in recent years, particularly Circle’s usd coin (USDC, +0.03%), which has ballooned to a $27 billion market cap, nearly half of Tether’s issued volume. A wind down of Tether at this point would be chaotic, in other words, but not crippling. [link to www.coindesk.com (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80392297 Switzerland 12/06/2021 06:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is nothing backing up Tether. All along it has been conjured out of thin air. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80494445 Proof? They have provided much more proof of reserves than you talking out of your ass. No doubt there are some questions as to the quality of their reserves but your statement is 100% bullshit. |

Quoting: Fhirinne Actually, Adams was quite positive about cryptos for a long time because he loved the privacy aspect. This weekend was the first time he took on cryptos after some information that he discovered and shares. "Chaos isn't a pit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80392297 Crypto is bigger than the US and would survive if Tether failed. The US has failed and now all it has left is to print USD shitcoins until that does not work anymore. Crypto funds terrorism. And the world is sick of terrorism. To kill the terrorists we have to kill crypto. No other way around it. Would be hilarious if black reparations are paid in crypto just before this happens. lol. |

Inevitability
User ID: 79766719 United Kingdom 12/06/2021 06:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not just a crypto reset that is imminent, it's the whole fiat system. It's going to collapse imminently, by design. (probably by the end of the Shmita year, which is September 2022). My hope is that blockchain systems are still going to be needed in the future, so cryptos would still hold some value, some even say make it might make millionaires overnight if you have the coins/tokens that will survive (not hard to imagine, if hyper inflation occurs). The thing I have heard about Tether which may have massive implications on the crypto markets and the markets in general, is that a LOT of Tethers assets are Evergrande debt!!! China is not bailing out Evergrande, so what happens to Tether? Fatality. Out of Sanity. Sublime Paragon. Transcendent Virtuoso. Marduk the Inimitable. Truth Ranger. Ipso Facto. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truth is like the sun. Anonymous Coward User ID: 80970430 Canada 12/06/2021 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tether may have ended up 'investing' in Evergrande bonds, in the last year or two, with some % of the 'reserves' that they actually had. Those bonds have since been ground into the dirt, and if/when Evergrande is officially in liquidation those bonds will plummet further. Maybe that is the truth, maybe that is just the cover story that will be used, but it sounds plausible to me, that a company that has reserves 'slightly less' than they claim would then try to 'get rich quick' in order to make up for that shortfall. And nothing says 'growing rapidly' and 'still cheap' like buying the bonds of what is China's biggest RE developer! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80647809 United States 12/06/2021 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tether is supposedly backed one to one by actual US dollars. So where is this $78 billion stash kept? Nobody knows. Yeah, there is supposedly a bank in the Bahamas or somewhere that’s involved — the one claiming reserves of less than $500 million. So where is the $78 billion? I’ll tell you. It’s nowhere. It doesn’t exist. |

It is all on cryptos and it is very sobering. There is no way I can do this video justice without writing for an hour. But as an overview Mike plays videos of experts that have uncovered maybe the largest financial fraud in world history, easily dwarfing Madoff or 2008 housing crises. Nothing even close. Tether, the crypto coin that supposedly has a US dollar held in reserve for every Tether 'coin' they manufacture is a complete lie. They have been caught moving hundreds of millions into accounts in order to show how honest they are only to learn that the same money was transferred out the next day. In short, after hearing this frightening explanation of the many elements of a world wide fraud network being orchestrated by the most corrupt financial criminals on the planet today. Many of these charlatans are under investigation or indictment for a huge number of financial crimes and child porn and abuse. To be truthful I love the idea of being able to move money around with privacy and without government involvement. But this crypto system is NOT THE ANSWER as you will quickly realize if you spend at least the first 20-30 minutes listening to the evidence. As a form of my own speculation, I believe that the crash of all cryptos will happen sometime in 2022...maybe early in the year. And I mean final price of $0 across the board. But this crash will be used by the Feds to offer a 'safe and reliable' US-based crypto that will again be monitored by you-know-who and of course taxed to death. Surely you didn't really think the IRS would just ignore a massive money tax dodge, did you? Remember, it doesn't matter whether you are in or out of crypto currencies. A destruction of this financial system would have a worldwide epic financial affect on each person on the planet. I hope I am wrong. I offer no dog in this hunt. I know many GLP members have put hope in crypto currencies and for good reason if it is honest as it was portrayed. But I don't think Adams' information is wrong. If you are crypto invested, please listen and decide what to do. I wish you all well. |

How exactly will metals 'boom' when it's controlled through the futures market? For every ounce of metal, there are a zillion paper contracts laying claim to that same metal. If the markets and economies collapse, metals will collapse as well and will be likely be confiscated as a result. I'll say this. There is no 100% safe haven for any wealth. There is risk in everything. Given the push of AI integration into blockchain, I see crypto as lasting into the foreseeable future. Cryptos like ICP will be the future. It's all part of the plan to have a decentralized digital blockchain information system that houses a global AI to manage it all. And to manage us, every single human. In fact it’s the least private of any method of payment out there. It’s all on the public blockchain for anyone to see with a simple click of a mouse. 2=. Crypto is much bigger than the US. IN fact the us is prob the smallest part of it 3=. so tether is backed by nothing? What is the Usd backed by? 4=. Crypto not going anywhere and the us gov can either get on board or get left behind. |
