Me and my buddy ride a tandem bicycle to work.

Hello all,

Since reading this thread a while ago, I've purchased a tandem with my coworker. We had a great summer riding to work together. People make fun about it but it's really fun being with someone on the same cycle! You can talk together, there is a real team work on the speed, stop and pace of the ride.

Because we live in the North, I was wondering if there was winter tires for tandem cycles? We would like to continue when it's possible (not too windy or cold) to use our tandem.

Why do people find tandem bicycles so funny?

My buddy lives down the block from me, and we take a tandem bicycle to work.

Work is about 2 miles away.

The folks at work seem to think that it is really funny.

Any thoughts on this?

No, we arent gay, (not flaming , anyway), we just figured its economical.

Instead of starting the car each day to go 2 miles...

That isnt good for cars, the exhaust and stuff.

The funny thing is, we work in a coal mine, so you could imagine the type of co-workers we have. Good guys, but, man , they laugh their asses off at us each day when we arrive on that thing.
