Being humble doesn't mean you don't know what is going on, it means you aren't full of yourself and your not a braggart or a showoff.

Being wise as a serpent, means to have their cunning and being able to see their snares, traps and tricks, but being gentle as a dove, means you don't succumb to engaging in their devilry.

It means to be able to think like your enemy, without defiling yourself, by becoming your enemy.

When you hunt monsters, you must take care not to become a monster yourself.
