Somehow I cannot help to think that such interpretation as you have brought forward is tied into the Arthurian legends of the sword in the stone and the of Holy Grail as it pertains to England and the British Isles.
In any case I find it somewhat hard to agree on that but yes Jesus will have a new name but we will not know it as such:
11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

But you are right. These legends could be coming from a legit history of the true heirs of King David, and even Jesus Himself (Jesus before being Christ), travelling to Ireland, Scotland then England, leading the present British Royal Family to be legit too in the David lineage.
What matters here is that some of the letters to the 7 churches speak about this new name of Christ:

Revelation 2:17
...I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.Sixth letter:
Revelation 3:12
...and I will also write on them my new name.As the 7 letters speak to the 144,000 Elect who will be taken for three years starting in next September 2022, the first year for the 6th reward, the name of Christ will be known to them.
Note that KNOWING is NOT ASSUMING, like the right decoding of the Bible prophecies allows us to, intellectually.
It happens that I had a vision on DEC 29 2011, before starting to study the prophecy, where I saw a bright light coming to me from the sky which landed in my right hand. When asking when will this happen, a voice told me:
'one for one of months'.About a year later, in OCT 2012, I had a vision in which I had to
'eat the last ticket', like John or Ezekiel were required to
'eat the scroll', meaning that I was about to understand the final true version / interpretation of the divine prophecy when Prince George was about to be born 9 months later.
Now, I better understand the meaning of the bright light from the sky in my right hand. The bright light is Christ I received in my hand. As one of the future Two Witnesses who will witness the merging of Christ and Prince George. This should take place on next JAN 1 (day one of month one).
Besides, in Eve's childhood vision, after we return from the door we are waiting for (rapture at Orléans), she saw me having a white stone in my right hand.
So, my point is to say that the selected ones will KNOW, when most of people will ASSUME it...thanks to the fulfillment of the prophecy.
Now, reread Rev 19.
Revelation 19:12-13
His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. From Rev 19:11 to Rev 19:15, we can read the description of Christ ALREADY SEEN IN REV 1! In other words,
this new name of Christ people don't KNOW regards the moment John met Christ and received His prophecy, in late first century! The
'many crowns' are the 7 crowns of the 7 kings George! Why would ONE person have MANY crowns, otherwise?
If His name is the
'Word of God' this is precisely because the prophecy - the Word of God - gives that name through the description of the 7 horns, 7 eyes, 7 spirits of/sent by God, aka the 7 kings George!
It's like the question of the 153 fishes. Why would a fisher count the number of fishes? Even if he does, why mentioning it in the Bible? Because there is an hidden meaning.
This message is the number of days for the net of the eight people to be full! After that, they have a diner like the chosen ones will be invited at Christ's table.
So, the truth doesn't come within but from Christ! To OPEN MINDED PEOPLE!
