I bet you're one of those people that cruise in the passing lane totally oblivious of the rules of the road, and anyone around you for that matter.

You usually get tailgated when you are doing something stupid on the road.

If some asshole is holding up traffic, absolutely pass him, solid line or not. In fact it's much safer on a small 2 lane road.

On highways where there is a specific passing lane (aka fast lane) and people crusing in it, there is no way to pass them. Hence they get tailgated.

Driving school should be mandatory for everyone. It's insane how many people have no idea about the rules of the road, and are completely clueless about their surroundings on the road. Then there's the assholes that just don't care. I'm betting you're all three.
