Buttcoin is "worth" $47K as long as someone else will pay that in something of value that you actually want. If nobody will pay more than $2 in value of any kind, then nobody will get more than that in exchange when trading it. Its real value is unknown, beyond its ability to cross borders easily(for now) and the fact that it's invisible. Those are the elements of its intrinsic value. It's largely, but not fully fungible.

Something with a price tag of a million dollars that no one wants to buy is worthless. With cyber currency it is easy for this to happen. The price is not what gives anything value, what gives it value is what someone is willing to pay for it.

If the system collapses the police cant be paid and they're not going to repossess your property for free, and get their asses shot up for nothing. You may are may not have noticed this but the only reason we have "law enforcement" is to keep the haves having and the have nots having not.
