That was one hell of a confrontation where my personal reasearch during 2 months to get an appointment helped me see through a Dr pusher's lies. The system is truly fk'ed as strong dilusion everywhere. Satanic as shit.

Yes, it's sexist. But I know men too well. I don't know how any woman would feel comfortable in that situation, and I don't know why any man would think it's a smart idea to spend tons of money on a degree/career to go into a field where you're most likely going to be last picked on the list.

At the very least, they show poor judgment.

Everytime I've had to pick a gyno, as I lived all over the country a couple years at a time - it was four women to one man. I'd never pick a man for that.

There are physical differences between men and women, one big one being sex drive. Which is fine, I'm a proponent of men being men and women being women. I know that most male gynos wouldn't risk everything they've worked for by being inappropriate, but that doesn't mean they're not thinking it. That's why the vast majority of women want female gynos. I just saw a female for the first time in years only because my normal guy retired. It was a man that delivered my children, too.

The only man I've had that was questionable was years ago when my insurance required me to see my primary. I knew that was a mistake as soon as he came in. My husband said that he didn't see them all day like a gyno does.

I think the majority of both men and women prefer female doctors, especially for their privates. A few women, and probably gay men also, might prefer guys.

Eh, I’ve never known a woman who felt comfortable with a male gynecologist.

I’ve seen the stuff they have to do. Just by itself, the procedure for a basic examination looks incredibly invasive, demoralizing and humiliating, no matter who is performing it. Probably waaaaay more so when you’ve got a member of the opposite sex who is performing that examination. There are women who absolutely do allow serious reproductive health conditions to go untreated rather than be examined by a male gyno- usually because they are in a situation where a male gyno is all the insurance coverage network will provide for them. To me that is very, very wrong and very fucked up. Shouldn’t be a thing- I don’t blame them for wanting to be seen by another female.

Another thing to consider: There are also tons of women who have, unfortunately, legitimately, been victims of brutal sexual assault and rape…so the experience that another woman might consider incredibly humiliating would be beyond traumatic and no doubt trigger PTSD episodes.

As a male, I really don’t want any Doctor fucking around with my…but when it is necessary, I am the complete opposite. I’ve always preferred to have a female Doctor if it has to be done. Not because of what some guys might consider entertainment value- but because it would be so much more violating and weird to have another dude perform the actual physical examination. To me, it’s not normal to get touched and looked at by another guy. Yes, many women are pervs, but in general I do trust women more in that role.
