You seem to misunderstand. It doesn't matter how much the medium of exchange is valued at. To perform your transaction you trade more or less or it depending on how much you need at the time.

If bitcoin is worth $10 and you need to pay a $100 bill you buy 10. If it is $100 you buy one, if it is $1000 you buy 0.1. Understand?

Price comparison is for speculators and the greedy. What doesn't change in price is the fact that this enables trustless payments over the internet. I can pay nippon the jap in japan for doing work for me without having to worry about a third party service to handle the transaction.

Gold is absolutely the alpha commodity, currency, safe haven, and soon-to-go-parabolic money that will not only save the wealth of those that have it as we go through the coming storm, but will amplify their wealth 80-fold once FOMO sets in.

Tether is not needed for BitCoin to exist. These chaps bring up some interesting connections, but they are also gold bugs. Meaning, they want to see everything else go down and precious metals to the moon.

Many wish Tether would just disappear.

Tether is used by some exchanges as the de-facto, backend crypto they use to purchase BitCoin and other cryptos. But they can and have been, switching to other stable coins to run their backends.
