Anonymous Coward User ID: 80273863 United States 12/20/2021 01:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't get me wrong...I'm no prude. As a woman I have the mouth of a sailor and my man curses so much it's like he has Tourette's. Quoting: BarbaricYawpSounder I'm not saying these are positive character traits, but there's a difference (perhaps generational, since we're in our 50s). We keep that natural inclination to be bawdy where it belongs...in the privacy of our home and with close friends and family. These young people filled with hubris and erroneously thinking they have the knowledge and dignity to run a country disgust me. Both that Cortez "person" (I refuse to use her cute acronym because WORDS MATTER) and that gross Ilan Omar ghoul both tweeted about Manchin, using the word "shit." These people are like animals. They can't demarcate between private conduct and public, professional conduct. The idiocracy has been here for awhile but sometimes I am still taken aback by the decline. Even the ridiculous Trump comported himself better than these kids, who still can't grasp adulting. Agree....didn't see it and don't look at any of their craziness. In the course of my professional career, have never used and won't ever use profanities in written missive's for public consumption and afaik never for private consumption either. It's extremely unprofessional and inappropriate...i can cuss up a storm, too. There's a place and it's place is not for things up for public consumption / view. |

What has happened that these children don't understand the difference. It might be due to airing their every tiny thought in public 24/7...they've never known another world. But I can't go with that idea. My own kids were raised on social media but they are the most polite people on earth when in professional settings. I think it boils down to respect, and so many in their 20s and 30s believe their FEELINGS are paramount, and venting them in any way they see fit should be prioritized over anything else. -- Barbaric Yawp Sounder |

Words MATTER Which is why this is happening. They are robbing you of another tool in your arsenal. They love it when words are sapped and emptied. Read your Orwell.
