Psalm 9 is a good one too i prayed frequently in 2015

Praise God for intercessory prayer!

Psalm 109 is about urgent intercessory prayer, for us to stand in the gap in prayer for the people of our countries, and for God to thwart evil and the wicked plans and schemes of the enemy.

What David is praying about in Psalm 109 is for the ploys and schemes of the enemy to backfire onto the enemy. The enemy, intending to ambush and curse others without cause, merely are cursing themselves.

In particular, the causing harm to the weak and helpless, and the shedding of innocent blood is particularly abhorrent to God, as is written in Proverbs 6, amongst the 7 abominations that God abhors.

A verse that stood out for me tonight is verse 16, and the description of how evil it was, in particular, to be cruel and not show mercy to the poor and needy, and to even slay the broken hearted.

That's particularly heinous. What a horrendously evil thing to do.

There are many Psalms that focus on our protection, etc. Psalm 91, for instance is timely and spot on, in particular starting with verse 3, where it is written that that He will deliver us from the noisome pestilence. And verse 5, where it says that we will not be afraid of thd terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day. And verse 6 where it says we will not be afraid of the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nof for the destructionthat wasteth at noonday.

And look at verse 7 where it says that a thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;but it shall not come. nigh thee.

And i could just hug verses 9-10:

"Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neithrr shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."

The entire Psalm 91 is timely and spot on.

Let's meditate on Psalm 91 and any other Psalms or Bible verses that come to mind.
