Psalms meditation, Processing/"living out" God's transforming power "warts n all" and praying on Thursday 11/3/22 @ 2:00pm

Along with the Psalms, and all throughout them, is worship and adoration and praise for our God. David just poured it ALL out to God, didn't He?

He was in dire straits, many many times, and he cried out to God Who promises to be our HELP in our times of trouble, and God pulled through for David, giving him, even as a boy, victory, in particular, with that big ol' bad bully giant Goliath, as Goliath's army and King Saul's armies watched in utter amazement.

Before this all occurred, however, David already had a relationship with the living God, and loved Him, praised, and worshipped Him. That is why he did not fear man, and that is because he feared God.

On this Monday morning, let's tell God how glorious He is, and worship Him. It is written that God is in the midst of our praises. And just as in the words of this song, our melody is our weapon against the enemy. The enemy has no defense against it.

This brings to mind David again. He was not only a musician, but he was a singer.

So is God.

How DELIGHTFUL is that? \o/

Let's acknowledge our need for our Lord, as we consider Who He is and ALL that He has done, and does for us. He is GOOD, and He pours out His grace on us, and strengthens us and grants us courage for such a time as this.

To encourage us as we prepare to pray at 10pm EST tonight, this Bible verse, that is in sync with the words of this song, and the song itself, as we acknowledge Who our God is and that He IS a very present help in our times of trouble.

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness." -Isaiah 41:10

Rinse and Repeat....

Guarding our minds.

As an encouragement for us and the putting on "armour" against the enemy, and "innoculating" ourselves spiritually, so to speak, this verse comes to mind.

God is amaaaaaazing, is He not? He DOES "equip" us against the enemy, doesn't He?

And this is one of the "weapons" He equips us with. it sets the enemy, and his minions, and agents to "fleeing":

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things ard just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." -Philippians 4:8

As the bad news continues bombarding all of us, i'm meditating on this powerful verse, and believing that God's promises are true, for He never ever lies. There is so much forboding and focusing on bad news, that we can become overwhelmed and stymied and discouraged by it all.

Let's focus instead on how God is BIGGER than ALL the bad news.

It is wrong to pray that someone dies, it is nit the "right thing". Besides, we do not know nor can we understand God's will.

Correct, we are supposed to pray for our enemies, and for those that would persecute us..

Amen!!! This is the God we pray to, and He is POWERFUL!!!! Anybody else sick of that ol' serpent and his minions and agents wreaking havoc with us, our loved ones, our communities, our states, our countries, and this world?

Let's pray to the God Who fights for us, and gets that ol' serpent to fleeing. Ya' wanna see that ol' serpent on the run? Let's keep this verse in mind as we pray tonight:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." -James 4:7
