Psalms meditation, Processing/"living out" God's transforming power "warts n all" and praying on Thursday 11/3/22 @ 2:00pm

Why we're here, and why i pray.

Genuinely kind words are healing. Encouragement is a "lifter of a cast-down, sagging" head and spirit.

God is the Lifter of our head, so that we can do the same for others. We have a ministry. And that is to be His "agents" and to "minister" wherever we go.

There are many many "cast-down" heads and spirits, ev'ry where we go.

Let's shine some of His hope into that darkness, and give an encouraging word to the weary.

"But Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the Lifter up of my head." -Psalm 3:3

Guarding our minds.

As an encouragement for us and the putting on "armour" against the enemy, and "innoculating" ourselves spiritually, so to speak, this verse comes to mind.

God is amaaaaaazing, is He not? He DOES "equip" us against the enemy, doesn't He?

And this is one of the "weapons" He equips us with. it sets the enemy, and his minions, and agents to "fleeing":

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things ard just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." -Philippians 4:8

This verse also comes to mind regarding setting the enemy Satan, and his minions and agents to "fleeing":

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." -James 4:7

God bless us, ev'ry one

Let God's righteousness and justice and His glory fall like rain.

When the enemy and/or his minions or agents instigate a fight, in particular without cause, they are blind-as-a-bat about WHO they're inviting to fight that battle.

Cuz guess WHO does the fighting?

Uh-huh.

A thankful heart slows my roll when i wanna do the "sons of thunder" thing on the enemy and his minions and agents when they are in "attack" mode, without cause and without rhyme or reason.

The enemy, and his minions, and his agents hate it. It is written that it's like pouring hot coals on their heads.

God, however, enables us to give it ALL to Him. And when we do, HE is in that arena with them, and what do they do?

They runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!

Prayer.

"I fear his prayers more than I do the armies of my enemies." -Queen Mary (speaking of John Knox)

Why did Queen Mary say this?

Because:

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." -James 5:16

A Wake Up Call.

Prayed about the above.

"I must have it. Truth. Even if the gates of hell war against me, or turn everyone against me, i must seek it. i must find it. i must cling to it. I'd rather seek truth than breathe."

i wrote this after a series of painful circumstances...i realized then that it is worth the risk...to embrace truth, even if everything else falls apart, collapses, or turns against me. It's worth fighting for, still.

Why i pray.

Speaking of truth, Freddie Gray's death was an execution-style killing. It was just a long, and drawn-out, torturous, and sadistic version of it. And all the while he was refused his inhaler and medical treatment as his body was literally twisted, and he cried out in pain.

i pray because of injustice and corruption, and the ensuing silence cuz nobody wants to "talk about it".

When God slows my roll, i am reminded that i need His mercy.

He is holy. i am not.

i am a stumbling, bumbling, and flawed child of the Most High God.

Why do i love God?

Because He forgives me.

(and He loved me when i didn't love myself. i hated and loathed myself, fiercely. He broke through that thick-walled fortress i had built around myself, that i dared anyone, including Him to come near.)

That's why i love God.

Lest we forget...

we gotta walk that lonesome valley, and we gotta walk it by ourself. Nobody else can walk it for us.

Prayed regarding the above.

Troubles and difficulties and challenges and losses come and go in this journey we are on.

In spite of the heartaches and griefs and pain and trauma, i hope that you dance as healing commences.

i hope you dance.

Why i pray.

Because the efforts of a tyrannically-bent, out of control government is attempting to rob us blind of our rights, liberties, and freedoms, right under our noses.

Giving the One, True, and Living God, His due.

Amen.

Praying for God to give us our President back, and praying for his protection.

i'm petitioning God's very Throne for God to give us our President back, and praying for his protection.

i'm worn and weary with all the blatant corruption and lawlessness, and our own government weaponizing the FBI and DOJ, and the IRS etc. against us, and with no consequences.

Prayed. i want my President back. Prayed for his protection.

Why i pray.

Sooooooooo, we don't need a wall on our southern border, eh? Those who object to it are telling on themselves.

(Pray for Tim Ballard. He gets exhausted and weary. He's a warrior for righteousness and justice, and yes, he gets tired, weary, worn, and discouraged. And so did Elijah. We are called to encourage, support, and pray for him and his ministry.)

Our Rescuer and the Rescuer of the helpless victims of child sex trafficking.

Prayed about the above, including for Tim Ballard and all who are involved in this effort.

Setting prisoners free....that's what God is about. We are to join in and do the same.

Pray for Tim Ballard and ALL those who are rescuing captives and setting prisoners free.
