I was driving that part of the country at the beginning of the month. The weather was ramping up then. Not one trooper or Sheriff from Minneapolis to Madison. As a matter of fact the cops are almost nonexistent on our interstates nationwide.

What make you so proud? Roads should have been treated. Look at all the property damage and disrupted lives. And you're proud. Pffft...only a dumbass Liberal would make a stupid comment like that.

Yup and you can see, in the videos, that the roads are all ice.

It’s not the ice, so much as it’s the fact that damn near every driver, of both cars and big trucks, seems to feel that reaching their destination a minute or two faster is worth exceeding the speed limit by at least ten miles per hour AND tailgating the vehicle in front of them; as if getting wherever the hell it is they’re going is so goddamn important.

I wonder if the people in that pile-up felt that their sh** driving and excessive speed was worth it as their life slowly drained out of them.

The driving public needs a major wake-up call, more than half the people driving are absolute menaces. I know the cops locally, and when we talk about this they just shake their heads; the stuff they see is insane. They would be in court 5 days out of 7 if they wrote tickets for all the douche moves they see daily.

Years ago I passed a pileup where they were lining up bodies in body bags. I counted a dozen or so bags full and they were bringing more to the lineup as we passed by. It was terrible.

They have to slow down those icy highways to 30mph in a storm, you can't barrel down the highway at 50 or 60 or more and expect everything to be ok.

I got hit with a sudden storm coming into Denver once, It came down so fast by the time I'd gone on 225 for 10 miles it was 4 inches thick already, it wasn't safe at all yet Denver locals kept right on going at 65, 75, it was horrifying!
