Ecudaor has a lot of very rich and very poor and a lot more corruption. But, people and kids there are extrememly healthy. Lots of clean water. It makes all the difference.

I wouldn't count on it, I see an awful lot of brainwashed compliant people, the population has to be pretty compliant to begin with for the government to even suggest it. It might get more blowback here in Colombia if they tried the same but by how much is hard to say. Most of them will admit the shots don't work but still rolled up their sleeve for the 1st 2 shots and will do the same for the boosters.It takes a lot to upset Colombians but when government crosses the line they'll stand up for themselves. So hopefully as the bodies hit the floor from complications they'll resist more forcefully.

In Colombia there are several restrictions currently that went into effect a couple weeks ago, no restaurants without your vaccine card for example. I've heard a few people mention not being able to eat at a certain restaurant, if I got turned away I'd never return to that restaurant in the future. We go out for dinner a couple times a week and have never been asked for a vaccine card though. So far most businesses have disregarded all the stupid rules with the exception of the mask mandate at the malls and big box stores.

It is my understand that China pretty well owns Ecuador.
