A police officer who was drunk when approaching a group of kids dropping off someone at a friends house got into a shootout with those kids, shooting and killing one.
The officer has now been charged with second degree murder, as well as prohibited use of a firearm while intoxicated

The former Greenwood Village police officer who is accused of fatally shooting teenager in southeast Aurora during a confrontation last month was legally drunk at the time, according to the affidavit from the Aurora Police Department.
The affidavit also said the 17 year old, Peyton Blitstein, fired first before his semi-automatic handgun jammed. The weapon was “ghost gun,” which had no serial number.
