Was I fooled by Donald Trump?

The more Trump goes on about his wonderful vaxxine, he is responsible for, the more I think I was fooled.

I'm usually a pretty good judge of character & before 2016, I never watched one Donald Trump anything. I knew of him, but I always thought he was a sleazebag & a boring self serving big mouth.

I truly never liked him at all. Never read any of his books & didn't watch him come down the escalator. Never watched one of his TV shows. I basically knew nothing about him by choice.

I took note of him after the debate with Clinton where he told her "you'd be in jail!" Those few words captured my interest. From there on out I was sold on him!

I voted for him in 2016 & 2020. I am starting to feel like I was fooled. I was told what I wanted to hear & then nothing really happened.

At this point, I'm feeling sold out! I didn't agree with Trump 100% on everything, but I did agree that DC as a swamp & must be drained. I'm not a die hard Republican, (I hated the Bush family, the Cheney family, the Clinton & Gore Families & the Obama & Biden Families). I'm more of a Ron Paul, Libertarian, the current Republicans are too scummy for me & the Democrats lost me years ago with their lines of perpetual BS & woke crap!

But could I have been so wrong about Donald Trump? If I was, then I'm considering never voting again!

He has never promoted any vaccine mandates and taking it himself is his personal decision. The mRNA business has a much longer history than 2019 and he just used it as any other option available to claim it has his success. You may remember the ventilator story. How often has he repeated it, but finally also admitted that they don’t really help much as the survival rate is low. But it reduced the attack surface for a while.

I wouldn’t think too much about his vaccine statements. It will most likely help to gain new voters from the other side as many liberals associate Trump-followers with anti-vaxxers.

Yeah, I was fooled at times as well. we all were if we are going to be truly honest with ourselves.

He is still my favorite president character in my lifetime, and I was born during Carter and grew up during Reagan...though Reagan was pretty awesome as a kid.

I remember very close to the 2016 election day, he had only recently started saying "Drain the Swamp" and I was listening to a rally and he says something to the effect of "yeah, drain the swamp, I just said that one day and it really caught on", as if to say "I'm just testing out what works, I don't really believe any of this shit". And I thought that at the time too, so I knew largely what we were getting but still loved his demeanor, loved that he appeared as an outsider, loved that he called a spade a spade and just talked like normal people do day to day.

As things happened, like bombing Syria, giving in on massive deficit spending bills, etc., I would always tell my wife that while he is great, there is every chance he is part of the show, and we can't ever forget that.

He played the role he was meant to play, and he played it extremely well. Just like a movie, always thinking we're finally going to win then at the final minute it gets pulled away and it was always either the media, the democrats, or someone else's fault. e.g. McCain voting against Obamacare repeal, but the same thing with caving on the government shutdowns and signing massive spending bills and saying "I'll do it this time, but never again, this is it", then proceed to do it again the next time, and same thing with red flag laws after shootings, and same thing with getting rid of Fauci or forcing the lockdowns to end, it was always a rug pull and we were so close but then lost it.

Overall I still loved him as president, though, even though I knew fully what he was by the end. But the last straw was January 6th. He setup tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of his supporters and then abandoned them completely. There is no redeeming that, ever.

That was the final time I participate in national level elections. It finally became clear that the game is rigged so completely that they can brazenly, in the open, do whatever they want and flaunt it and not be stopped, and everyone is a part of the show.

I still have Trump flags, and I still wave every time I see one on the road, but it's not about Trump the man. Trump is an idea. Trump is a group of people that believe in freedom, decency, national sovereignty, free markets, a strong middle class, limited government, and a greater power that rules over all. I love the people, and will always stand by them, even if they are still under his spell. I just pray they don't follow him where it looks like he is trying to lead them (which is right into the new world order control system).

You must be a woman, OP. Women always have a hard time taking responsibility for anything. So, since you asked, yeah. You fucked up. And so did a lot of other people. So did I. I voted for Trump one time. But only a few months into his administration, I realized I was wrong. Not that I wanted the Hildabeast in office. But I was wrong in taking Trump seriously.

The upside is, all elections have been rigged for a very long time now, so even though we fucked up---its not really our responsibility anyway. TPTB have made sure of that.
