Rest In Peace - I Love You Dad He’s 82 and my Stepmother found him on the floor at the foot of his chair, unresponsive, a couple of hours ago. She called the ambulance and he was taken to the local hospital, and after being examined by the doctors there and still being unresponsive, they told my Stepmother that he’s had a stroke and has a bleed, and called an air ambulance to take him to the regional medical center. He just beat pancreatic cancer, completely, less than a year ago… and only a small percentage of people diagnosed with that type of cancer beat it. Then, members in my family that are in medicine, without my knowledge, convinced him to get “vaccinated”… and about a month later he had a stroke. He recovered from that one with slurring of speech and difficulty walking being the most apparent damage. Today, Christmas Eve, he’s had another one. I’m already at the hospital he’s coming to, and they’re just now landing the chopper that’ll bring him here, at the hospital he’s at now. This place will be flooded with friends and family within the next hour. I’ll be on & off the thread because as you might imagine, things are chaos right now. God Is Great. Merry Christmas. Thanks guys. You're one of the decent blue names here...even keeled and fair minded. Sorry OP. Godspeed and eternal peace to your dad. I'm sure you'll miss him a lot. |

Thank you GLP Sorry to hear that scrump. Nothing I or anyone here says will take away the pain, but from experience, I would urge you to come back when you're ready and read all the responses. They are filled with love, in the truest sense if the word since many of us have never met. I was here 8 years ago when my mother was sick and subsequently died. It has been a long road for me, but I can tell you reading many of the messages many here left me, filled my spirit, which is something I really needed. The outpouring of love is what truly keeps me coming back here. The only unsolicited advice I can give you is to allow yourself or give yourself permission to grieve... in whatever form that is. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I cried for 2 yrs straight. Your many friends at glp will be here. Lots of love.❤🙏 |
