I'm sorry if I sound a little judgmental in saying this
...but the fanfare to consider this poor woman a "hero"
in her actions to save her child...doesn't NEGATE THE FACT
that people who are so ignorant of the animal breeds of
dogs who are potentially hazardous to young children is
nothing less than ignorant.

She could have saved her OWN LIFE and avoided the stigma
this child will have to live with the rest of his life
with that BACKSTORY about the pitbull death of his mother
(he will probably even gain some "survivor's guilt" from
having lived when the mom died, as well)...by simply GETTING
A DIFFERENT BREED OF DOG in the first place.

I've watch dozens of documentaries and even the program
Judge Judy TRIES TO EDUCATE people about the various breeds
--there are MORE than just pitbulls by the way--and the
stories are heartbreaking.

Very sad story. But also very predictable if you do
even a tiny bit of research.
