https://imgur.com/a/Na0dIQk I buy Ribeye on sale then immediatly seal them with the Foodsaver and put them away in my chest freezer. Today we are defrosting steaks from April 1/4 cow. Bought from Farmer and processed at a FDA facility last summer - now in fridge. All cuts - expensive this year - almost $5 a lbs.. In previous years it was just under $4 Get a chest freezer and 4 friend and then buy 1/4 (or more) its a far better way and you know where its been from pasture to the freezer the local farm nearest to me is $6.40/lb for quarter beef Damn. I have a family member that raises 3 beef and 6 hogs a year for the extended fam to buy. I got a whole beef this year at 3$ lb. I split it with a friend. I look at meat prices somtimes when I am at the market and they are insane for sure!
