I made it to the black or 'crow's head' stage after months of distilling, but I felt it wasn't going to work and that somewhere I messed up. Plus, I had to move and didn't feel like I would get any further with the experiment.
Lately I've been working with prayer, meditation, sound & music in an effort to achieve basically the same thing. I suspect all can be used to achieve what the true alchemist ultimately wants, which has nothing to do with being filthy rich or eternal life (on earth).
Quoting: One-Eyed King I had days of running 5 short path distillation units for 30 hours run. Did a several terpene seperation runs that went on for 72 hours each. The advances though of modern technology allow one to achieve more, but there is alot of data to capture to be sure one is one right path. While one can 'speed' up a process, there is always a trade off. Quality over quantity, but it requires a lot of patience, a lot of patience.
