God wrote a book for Adam - it is called Sefer Yetzirah: The Book of Creation and he gave it to Adam when he left Eden - so that he would have dominion over the Earth. It was written in the Language of God ... the original language spoken on Earth - but it has been translated into English and can be found on-line today.
Adam taught his children the "formulas" of creation, that God revealed in this book - and they taught their children, right down until the time when they used it to command the Angels to help them build the Tower of Babel --- which angered God, so he took the book away from them, and confounded their language so they couldn't order the Angels around any more or share what they remember from the book.
