30 years ago today...

My mother was 2 months pregnant with me.

We were months away from the LA riots and hurricane Andrew.

Bill Clinton was about to become president after one term with papa bush.

We were only a few years passed the Tiananmen Square disaster in Beijing, China's last chance at freedom.

We were less than a year passed the Gulf War conflict.

Internet and cellular phones were in their infancy but still beginning to be accepted.

There was a blockbuster on every other corner.

Kids played outside. A lot.

Men and women were still chasing one another.

Cars were still made nicely.

911 hadn't happened yet.

We were 4 years away from Pokemon. NES and game boy were hot shit and Sega, Sony and Microsoft hadn't even really hit the ground yet so to speak. Still 2 years from Sony playstation. Super NES was all the rage!

Apple was in it's original success run and hadn't thought up the ipod or iphone yet.

Google? Who?

Parachute pants and hairspray every fucking where... 80's still holding on hard. 90s haven't yet hit their stride.

30 years ago in July I was born, and this is absolutely a different world and people. Maybe the same earth in the same system, but a changed place.

Give me some examples especially if you too are a "2" baby. 52? 62? 72? 82? 2002?
