I certainly didn't expect this. Quoting: Emergency Patriot Hologram Reckoned we would all have flying cars and replicators by now. How naive of me. sort of ya! i expected things would have moved along a little faster. thought maybe there might be a cure for cancer and maybe the common cold by now. I thought everyone would have a personal aircraft. thought maybe travel would be faster and trains would be faster. I didn't think that George Orwell's book 1984 would come true though. ...nor how the media would enable it through mass manipulation. It truly is mass psychosis we are seeing. With that said, I new we were all screwed by the money changers and super rich long ago. Early in my years there was a daily/magazine though we were introduced to in school. It was call the Weekly Reader I think. I do recall back then long ago they were showing the 2000s to be just like you stated. It is very sad, where I grew up is much worse than it was when I was a kid. No upgrades of anything Industrial wise besides smart phones, shitty cars, computers, tv, video games, etc. We were young and truly free. Now they're even in the rearview mirror. I don't think anyone seen smartphones coming, not even Star Trek writers. |

We were so full of wonder about what the world would be like after 2000. At the time, we couldn't even imagine living that long LOL It seemed so far away. Now that we're older, it didn't really seem to take nearly as long to get here. I guess time flows forward faster in hindsight. But as a child, I expected the Jetsons and Star Trek as well. I certainly never thought things would be like this. Now, can we imagine what the world will be like in 20 more years? I'm almost too scared to find out. I'm so embarrassed on behalf of mankind. Goodness. Goodbye, halcyon days... There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
