This has been said, but worth a repeat. I spent most of 2021 frequenting my close and preferred grocery chain. I found it to be OK, and it did echo a lot of people's complaints so I assumed it was normal. One day in Novemeber I stopped at a competitor about 5 miles further down the road and realized they had about twice as much stock and a ton more variety than my goto. I still mostly stick to close by, but believe me the food you want is likely out there somewhere. Just gonna have to use your long buried instincts. Go out and hunt for it foos..

Yet, this simply COMPOUNDS the problem already being encountered with inflation. Food prices are up, fuel prices are up…add to it the need to make multiple stops for basics and staples, and you are forced to burn more time and use more fuel…ADDITIONAL bottom-line costs that aren’t even being factored into inflation numbers.
