Just came back from shopping, and usually there are 3-4 different brands, links and patties filling a large refrigerated case.
There was not one package of sausage today. There was bacon. V8 juice has been out for a week. The shelves are getting bare

The stuff we do still manage to get from our suppliers has dropped in quality 3 separate times in the last 5 months too.
Our bags are now so thin that you have to be careful doing the wrist flick to pop them open because they'll just shred if you do it too hard (or if the customer grabs them wrong at the drive thru)

Also several stories out today about the FDA allowing "substitutions" to food products like cooking oils etc (by substitution they mean you can label it one ingredient when it's actually a different much Lower quality "equivalent")
This is an older notice from 2020 but a new round went out today.
So If you've ever listened to someone whose lived in a country that collapsed like ours is collapsing, they will all tell you that things kinda got worse and worse for awhile, seemed to get better for a minute, resumed the slide and stuff just plain started getting hard to get, and finally the trucks just stopped coming.
We already had the things seeming to get better for a minute during the holidays (they didn't get better the government just forced suppliers to dump everything they could regardless of whether that meant them running out later or not)
The key thing to understand is that things tend to go pretty fast from here until total collapse.
What does pretty fast mean?
I dunno. I wish I knew but I don't.
I do know we're going to collapse barring miracles that just aren't going to fucking happen
